1. The Girl Who Believe In Forever 💖

"Some people dream of becoming rich. Some dream of becoming famous. But Anvika Kaushal had only one dream... to find a love that lasted forever."

Anvika's POV

"LATE!"

The word echoed through the entire Kaushal Mansion.

"I'm late! I'm late! I'm definitely late!"

I ran down the grand staircase while trying to wear my watch and stuffing a few books into my tote bag at the same time.

"Anvika!" Mom called from the dining room.

"Breakfast first."

"I don't have time, Mom!"

"You've been saying that every morning since school."

"I promise I'll eat in college."

"You said the same thing yesterday."

"And the day before yesterday," Bhai added with a grin.

I glared at him.

"Stay out of this."

He leaned back in his chair, completely unbothered.

"If you spent half as much time getting ready as you do choosing earrings, you'd actually reach college on time."

I gasped dramatically.

"I do not spend that much time choosing earrings."

Bhabhi giggled.

"He's actually right."

"You too, Bhabhi?"

She smiled innocently.

"I'm just supporting the truth."

I placed a hand over my heart.

"My own family has betrayed me."

Everyone burst into laughter.

Dad folded his newspaper and looked at me over his glasses.

"Sit down."

I immediately obeyed.

No matter how much I argued with everyone else, I could never ignore Dad.

Mom served me a plate while gently scolding,

"You'll become a doctor one day, but first learn to take care of yourself."

I smiled sheepishly.

"Yes, Mom."

Dad watched me eat before asking,

"How's your internship going?"

"It's amazing."

"I assisted in a cardiac procedure yesterday."

His eyes filled with pride.

"I knew you could do it."

A smile spread across my face.

Dad's praise always meant the world to me.

Just then, Bhai nudged me.

"So..."

"When are you bringing home a doctor?"

I almost choked on my juice.

"Bhai!"

"What?"

"You'll have to marry someday."

I rolled my eyes.

"I'll marry."

"But only when I find the right person."

"And what exactly is the 'right person'?" Bhabhi asked curiously.

I rested my chin on my palm.

"He should respect both families."

"Be kind."

"Make me laugh."

"Love me even when we argue."

"And..."

I smiled dreamily.

"He should never let me feel alone."

Bhai let out an exaggerated sigh.

"You've watched too many romantic movies."

"I call it having standards."

He laughed.

"I call it impossible."

Dad smiled quietly while Mom shook her head affectionately.

Vanya, who had just entered the dining room, dropped onto the chair beside me.

"Good morning, everyone."

"Good morning," everyone replied together.

She looked at me.

"Ready?"

I nodded.

"Almost."

Vanya leaned closer and whispered,

"By the way..."

"Did you finish dreaming about your future husband?"

I narrowed my eyes.

"Very funny."

She laughed.

"I still think you'll end up marrying someone who's the complete opposite of your dream."

"Never."

I answered confidently.

"I'll never marry someone rude."

"Never someone arrogant."

"And definitely not someone who thinks the whole world revolves around him."

Little did I know...

Destiny was quietly laughing at my confidence.

Because somewhere else in the same city...

A man who possessed every quality I had just rejected...

Was completely unaware that fate had already written our names on the same page.
